<image:title>Blog - The Realities of Reloading - SUMMARY:</image:title>
<image:caption>If you don’t have to amortize the initial cost of the reloading equipment and can get the hulls at no cost, you’re still not saving much - if anything - by reloading standard target shells. However, if you have a reloader, you can still save a few bucks per box over premium target and hunting loads (*) - even if you need to purchase quality (used) hulls for that purpose. If you need to purchase equipment, the pay-off will be in the (distant) future.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A case-in-point, the rooster’s unpredictable (and unfortunate, for the bird) decision to flush high and to the right of the brush allowed me to track its progress. As the barrels pass through the rooster, I slap the trigger quickly. In this short video, a sage grouse is pointed by the setter (off screen) as I make my way toward the direction the dog is pointing. The gun is up and, anticipating the flush, I make sure that each step is solidly placed - not rock hopping. Notice the gun remains on target after the shot is taken. <image:title>Services - Upland Bird Dog Training</image:title>
<image:caption>I began training pointing dogs, mostly setters, in the early 1980’s and have begun training upland flushing breeds, as well. Birds make bird dogs, and we have the birds, equipment, and facility required to complete the process. After determining what is required, together, we work toward your goals. You are provided with daily progress and evaluation documents as well as photos highlighting the day’s events. Nothing is hidden or left to chance. As the logo suggests, we train gun dogs; “One step at a time - each step to the last”. ™ Note: Health, (vaccination & parasite) documents may be required.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Alaska to Africa, I’ve made the mistakes and can offer advice needed to make your adventure in the outdoors and not in an airport. By no means do I have all the answers, but I have the time to research them for you. To create a lasting heritage, I enjoy passing on outdoor skills to others and often volunteer for various organizations in that endeavor. I prefer to train people to wrangle their own pointing dogs as well as offer advice on reloading their own ammunition, tying flies, along with hunting and fly-fishing techniques.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I enjoy the research and planning it takes to make memorable outdoor adventures. I draw from over fifty years of real outdoor experience to provide written material in a demonstrative and entertaining fashion. My involvement in engineering design and manufacturing processes offers insight into products and materials used in various outdoor pursuits. Using this combination, we will create the documentation that says what you need it to say. From birds to big game, boots to backpacks – fly tying to fish frying - I can write descriptions and evaluations that will portray your product or service at its very best!
